Benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in many acne treatments, both over the counter and prescription. This is how the acne industry is able to take advantage of the user. They constantly recreate and repackage the same product year after year. The idea behind this product is to dry the skin in an effort to combat excessive oil.
