4 Easy ways to speed up your PC

Here are a few easy ways to speed up your PC:

Uninstall Unused Programs and Applications: I'm sure that you have accumulated programs on your computer that are practically useless and you have forgotten their existence. These programs slow down your operating system, even if you never use them. Uninstalling these applications can free up valuable space on your PC and can boost your computer's performance. To remove the programs you need go to the Control Panel's "Add or Remove Program" and select the ones you want to get rid of.

Free Up As much Disk Space As You Can: There is a tool called Disk Cleanup that can help you improve your PC's performance. You need to use this tool in order to: empty the recycle bin, remove Windows temporary files and delete optional Windows components that may be useless to you. To find this tool go to "All Programs", click "Accessories" - "System Tools" - "Disk Cleanup".

Defragment Your Hard Drives: You need to clean up fragmented files and free up space on the drives, in order to increase speed. Right-click "My Computer" and go to "Properties" - "Tools" -"Defragment. Try to run "Defragment" at least once per week. You can even schedule this utility to run automatically, instead of having to do it manually.

Fix Registry Errors: This is the most crucial step, if you want to speed up your computer. The registry holds all the information about your system and over time it gets filled with invalid entries. To repair a corrupted registry you absolutely have to delete all the redundant entries, which unfortunately cannot be done manually. If you try to do it yourself, you may remove the wrong entry and your PC may crash. The best way to fix these errors is by using software. A good cleaner can help you perform a deep scan to delete invalid entries and fragments in the registry. This software makes regular backups so even if some kind of problem appears, you will be able to restore the registry to its prior condition.
